First Annual KCDC Dinner and Fundraiser Go to Photo Gallery This year's Dinner and Fundraiser was a tremendous success!!! The event was held on April 17th, 2010 at the Holy Redeemer Center in Oakland. Over 70 people attended and we heard many rave reviews about the scrumptious African food. The DJ, silent auction, and absolutely wonderful company made for a very memorable evening. The dinner and associated donations raised over $4,000. This money will be directed to building a water collection project in Kishapu this year. Once again, the KCDC Board wishes to sincerely thank the many businesses and individuals who contributed to the silent auction, the people who spent time organizing the event and, of course, the lively attendees. Given the challenging economic times and the wide range of pressing needs at home and across the globe, we are honored by the commitment that the community has made toward helping the people of Kishapu.
